3. Bid Execution & Material Procurement

  • Assist with reviewing vendor quotes and material take-offs for completeness.
  • Help ensure correct coding of materials, subcontractors, and phase breakdowns.
  • Coordinate subcontractor information handoff to Project Managers for contract preparation.
  • Collaborate with the PCM to compare vendor bids and contribute to vendor selection.
  • Support the conversion of estimates into actionable orders with the purchasing team.

4. Project Support & Review

  • Provide assistance in compiling information for change orders and scope adjustments.
  • Attend project site visits, meetings, and walkthroughs as needed for exposure and experience.
  • Participate in pre- and post-construction meetings alongside senior team members.
  • Support financial review processes to identify improvement opportunities for future projects.

5. Learning & Development

  • Embrace opportunities to develop technical knowledge and estimating skills.
  • Collaborate actively with team members and ask questions to support continuous growth.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and best practices through training and research.

  • Time management – Capable of juggling priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Team collaboration – Works well with others and contributes positively to team success.
  • Communication – Clear and professional interaction with internal teams and vendors.
  • Initiative – Shows a desire to grow and take on more responsibility over time.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Hybrid or remote work model available, based on location and project needs.
  • Occasional travel to project sites for assessments, reviews, or training.
  • Site visits may require walking on uneven terrain, climbing stairs or ladders, and accessing confined areas.

Key Attributes for Success

  • A high level of attention to detail is essential to produce accurate estimates and prevent costly errors. Candidates must be diligent, thorough, and committed to reviewing their work carefully.
